LITTLE FALLS CREATES: ART ROCKS OUR CITY
Participate in our Art Rocks this City quests all summer!
QUEST 1: LET’S WORK TO MAKE OUR NEIGHBORHOODS COME ALIVE WITH THE COLOR BURST QUEST.
Using Fabric, wood, plastic, yarn, or other materials, decorate your windows, porch railings, trees or other areas that can be seen from the road or sidewalk. In collaboration with your neighbors or as solo efforts, create a themed or stand alone display to bring a big Color Burst to your Neighborhood. Use your imagination!
As you stroll around town or drive past, be on the look-out for examples of Color Burst in Little Falls. Whether in our business districts, community buildings, or residential homes, snap photos and share what you find. We will be looking for great examples of your wonderful, creative work to share on Social Media, and maybe even pass out some prizes.
QUEST 2: FIND THE BUZZING BEES IN LITTLE FALLS!
As you walk or drive around the city keep your eyes open for bees painted in the business windows. Keep track of how many bees you see and submit your guess to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on June 29th, 2020. All correct entries will be entered in a raffle. Four winners will be awarded a $25 gift certificate to a local business.
QUEST 3: POETRY IN CHALK - INVITATION TO EXPRESS - TURN SIDEWALKS TO ART!
Become a part of the Guerilla Haiku Movement by writing a haiku in chalk in your neighborhood. The rules for writing a haiku are simple- there are only 3 lines, totaling 17 syllables. The first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7 syllables, and the third is 5 syllables. Punctuation and capitalization are up to the poet. Your goal is to cover as much of your neighborhood as possible in haiku inspired by that neighborhood and to document your adventures with photos. Submit your photos to the gallery.
QUEST 4: ROCK CITY ART!
Create a sculpture, design a mandala, or paint a rock! Celebrate our city’s history of rocks by creating an art piece with this material. Display your piece in your yard for your neighbors to enjoy, but be sure to share a photo here. We can’t wait to see what you create.
Here are some quest photos we received. Thank you!!
