JOHN M. STEHNACH
John was born in Little Falls in 1959.
He is a self-taught Artist who is still thank full to his Little Falls Public School Art Teachers for helping to cultivate his artistic talent. John began to paint watercolors of birds at the age of ten. In fact he displayed his first works in the Little Falls Public Library in 1971 and was featured on the front page of the Little Falls Evening Times with an article highlighting those watercolors.
John has painted ever since those early days continuing his development as an artist in Watercolor, Acrylic, and Oil mediums. The subject matter he has stayed true to are animals in their natural settings. Often he paints the natural setting first and then decides what type of animal to depict in those surroundings.
As an adult John made his career in Boston as the Director of the John Stobart Art Gallery. John Stobart is an internationally acclaimed Nautical Artist whose works are in Collection around the world.
As the Director of a prominent Art Gallery in Boston John Stehnach found success displaying his works as well.
